The Whova app is your best tool for accessing Circularity program details and venue information. Build your agenda, connect with sponsors, plan informal meetups, facilitate polling and Q+A, and network.
The app will be available approximately one month prior to the event. Instructions on how to facilitate live polling and Q+A on Whova are below.
IMPORTANT
📱 Whova Access: No access code is required for your Whova account. Whova syncs with the Circularity registration list, which may take up to 24 hours to update after you have registered. To access your account, use the same email address you used for registration. If you still don't have access after 24 hours, please contact support@trellis.net.
🔉Speaker Hub: Only registered speakers have access to the Speaker Hub. The Whova Speaker Hub is a platform that allows speakers to update their profiles, upload presentation materials, and manage session details. It also allows speakers to discover attendee interests by engaging with session Q&A and polls.
There is a 5 poll/session limit and only speakers assigned to the session in-app are able to create and manage polls for the session. Trellis cannot add speakers to the session who are not speaking.
Open the app and go to the Circularity event under “My Events”
Scroll down to the “Speaker Hub” and select “Poll Your Session Audience”
If you are participating in more than one session, you will select the session you want to attach the poll to (you can always go back and create another poll for another session)
Select “Add a Poll”
Select your Answer Type (multiple choice, short answer, etc.)
Input your poll question and other information as necessary
Select whether or not you would like to prompt attendees to answer the poll during the session time
Select “Save”
Viewing Poll Results in App
Open the Whova app and go to the Circularity event under “My Events”
Scroll down to the “Speaker Hub” and select “Poll Your Session Audience”
If you are participating in more than one session, you will select the session with the poll you wish to view
Select “View results”
Viewing Poll Results on Desktop
Navigate to the Whova app desktop webpage
On the left vertical menu, click “Resources”
Click “Polls”
You should now see any polls you’ve created; click “View Results” on the poll you wish to view
View Your Poll Results
You can view questions submitted by attendees of your session through both the “Questions from My Audience” button under Speaker Hub and the “Session Q&A” button under Additional Resources.
Open the app and go to the Circularity event under “My Events”
Scroll down to the “Speaker Hub” and select “Questions from My Audience” OR scroll down to the “Additional Resources” section and select “Session Q&A”
If you are participating in more than one session, you will select the session you are looking to view the submitted questions for
If any questions have been asked, they will appear here
Notes on Q&A
Attendees can “Like” questions asked by other attendees in the app, allowing you to see which questions have the most interest from your audience
You can pin and hide questions as well as mark them as “Answered”
If you are unable to answer all questions during your session, you can respond to the questions in-app
You are also welcome to pass around a microphone in your session to facilitate a Q&A, however, there will be no Trellis staff or volunteers present to assist with this, and it will be the speakers' responsibility to facilitate
